Starting March 15, 2021, we will begin welcoming volunteers back to our Build Site. Because of COVID-19 requirements for safety and social distancing, we continue to take extra precautions on our build sites.
Individual volunteer opportunities at our Construction Site will be available on Tuesdays in the spring. Please fill out the Individual Volunteer Inquiry Form below and our Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you within 1-3 business days. Due to COVID-19, all individual build days are limited to five volunteers and are first-come first-served.

Volunteer at a Construction Site

We suggest a donation of $25 from our individual volunteers to help raise funds needed to cover construction costs of site materials, preparation, and supervisors’ time to make sure your build day is a success.
Individual build opportunities are first-come first-served, we would like to give everyone the chance to volunteer, but safety comes first on our construction sites, and consequently we must limit the number of volunteers to five (5) so that everyone is properly supervised. As a volunteer, you are a vital part of our mission and our ability to build affordable homes for hard working low-income families in our communities.
Volunteer at the ReStore
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore sells donated furniture, appliances, and home improvement items to the public at low-cost. Proceeds help fund the construction of Habitat homes. Volunteers at the ReStore will help process donations, move merchandise, greet and assist customers, clean, repair and refurbish donations along with a variety of other tasks. We need volunteers on a regular basis, Tuesdays-Saturdays 9:30am-5pm. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

What should I bring?
- Proper Dress: Wear comfortable clothing and expect to get dirty with spilled paint, dirt etc. Closed toe shoes are a must and layers in the wintertime are key as our homes are often not insulated or heated.
- Food and Drink: Bring any food or drink you will need for the day including water. Convenience stores are within driving distance but can be a far walk from some sites.
- Waiver of Liability: Sign the Waiver of Liability Form and bring this to the work site on the day of your build (please do not send these into the office).
- No Tools or Supplies Required: Habitat Greater Boston will provide all tools and building materials for your build day.
