2008 Boston Marathon ®

The Boston Athletic Association has named Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston an official marathon charity, allowing us to participate in the 2007, 2008 and 2009 marathons. On behalf of Habitat for Humanity, 15 individuals are now the “Habitat Hotfooters” (the official team name). They have each received numbers to run the 2008 Boston Marathon® on April 21, 2008. In return, each Hotfooter has pledged to raise a minimum of $3000 for Habitat. So far, team members have raised over $65,000!

Although the application process is officially closed, we encourage runners to think about applying for our 2009 team. Applications will be available in the fall of 2008.

2007 Boston Marathon ®

Congratulations to our Habitat Hotfooters for completing the 2007 Boston Marathon!  On behalf of Habitat for Humanity, 15 individuals received numbers to run this year's marathon. Despite precarious weather conditions-among the worst since 1970-our Hotfooters braved the Nor'easter and successfully finished the race.  Together as a team, the the runners raised more than $62,000 for Habitat Greater Boston.
