Home Dedication
January 13, 2007

Habitat for Humanity Great Boston welcomed two more families into the 22-unit Blue Hill Place complex on Blue Hill Ave, marking 2007’s first home dedication ceremony. The completion of these two units, which are located on Intervale Street, means that the entire Blue Hill Place project is almost half-way done. This was the first housing dedication for both Habitat Executive Director Lark Palermo and Habitat Board of Directors President Michael Liu. Boston City Councilman Charles Yancey contributed community remarks. He stressed the importance of what Habitat Greater Boston does for each family it serves, as well as the positive impact the Blue Hill Place project has on the surrounding community. Other dignitaries in attendance included the Reverend Carolyn Edge of Carter Memorial United Methodist Church and Father Walter Waldron of St. Patrick’s Church.
