Board of Directors

Habitat Greater Boston’s Board of Directors is made up of accomplished professionals with backgrounds in architecture, finance, law, property management, construction and real estate development.

Robert E. Kenney, Chair
Mr. Kenney was elected as Chair of the Board of Directors in 2017. He is President of Kenney Development Company, a leading real estate firm engaged in development, urban planning and consulting. Mr. Kenney also serves as a Trustee of the Greater Boston YMCA and Chairman of the Housing Development Corporation of Wellesley.

William DiSchino, Treasurer
Mr. DiSchino joined the Board of Directors in 2008 and was elected Treasurer in 2010. He is President and CEO of Barkan Management Company, a leading manager of residential properties in Massachusetts. Mr. DiSchino is also past President of the Rental Housing Association.

Anthony Papantonis, Vice Chair
Mr. Papantonis was elected as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors in 2017. He is an engineer and President and founder of Nauset Construction, a full-service construction company providing pre-construction, construction management, design-build, and general contracting services throughout New England.

Mike Fish, Clerk
Mr. Fish was elected as Clerk of the Board of Directors in 2017. He is President, CEO, and co-founder of Dellbrook | JKS, a full-service general contractor and construction management firm specializing in healthcare, renewable energy, and municipal projects.

Rodger Brown
Mr. Brown joined the Board in 2017. As Managing Director of Real Estate at Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH), he oversees the activities of all real estate development staff, manages resource allocation and department budgets, and establishes strategic initiatives for the organization. Mr. Brown is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Boston Architectural College and a member of the Town of Sherborn Zoning Board of Appeals.

Jordan P. Krasnow, Esq.
A partner at Goulston & Storrs, Jordan Krasnow has been practicing law for over 40 years.  He specializes in real estate acquisitions and dispositions, real estate financing and real estate development.  Mr. Krasnow was elected to the Board of Directors in 2014.

Susan Winston Leff
Ms. Leff served as Chair of the Board of Directors from 2015-2017. Ms. Leff is Principal at Susan W. Leff Associates where she performs financial and feasibility analyses for commercial real estate investors, developers and nonprofits. A co-founder of New England Women in Real Estate, she is past President of the Real Estate Finance Association and past president of the Boston Children’s Museum Board of Directors.

Michael E. Liu, AIA
Mr. Liu is Vice President and Principal in charge of Design at The Architectural Team. He served as Chairman of the Habitat Board of Directors from 2007 to 2009. He also is the former Chairman of the Designer Selection Board for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Kimberly Sherman Stamler
President of Related Beal, Kimberly Sherman Stamler was elected to the Board of Directors in 2016. She is responsible for overall management of Related Beal and leads the company in pursuit of new development opportunities. Ms. Sherman Stamler is also a member of The Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy.

Catherine Thompson
Co-founder and Principal of Thompson Hennessey & Partners, Ms. Thompson was elected to the Board in 2017. She has extensive experience leading her corporate real estate brokerage firm and expertise in real estate portfolio management, relocation processes, and creative problem-solving for her clients. She is a past President of the Board of Directors of the Italian Home for Children.

Lark Jurev Palermo, President & CEO
Ms. Palermo was appointed as President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston in November, 2005. She has an extensive background in housing, nonprofit management, and real estate development. From 1986 to 1992 Ms. Palermo was a partner in the real estate department of Wilmer Hale LLP. She is the former Commissioner of the Division of Capital Asset Management and a past President of the Board of Trustees at The Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She is a current member of the Town of Brookline Zoning Board of Appeals.
